Instead, students follow a clear, structured roadmap that brings together academics, activities, essays, and positioning into one cohesive application strategy so that  nothing important is left to chance.

  • The Icon 8-Week Admissions Accelerator is a live, cohort-based program that combines:

    • Weekly live strategy and application classes

    • Structured application timelines and checklists

    • Essay strategy and development support

    • Direct access to an admissions expert

    The goal is simple: to help students navigate application season with clarity, confidence, and a strong strategy to increase their chances of admission.

    This is not a crash course. It’s a guided build with a strategy plan in place once the 8-week program concludes.

  • All sessions are led by Icon’s Founder, Mason Hill, a former University of California Admissions Officer and private admissions consultant with over a decade of experience.

    Students learn directly from someone who:

    • Has evaluated thousands of applications at highly selective universities

    • Understands how admissions officers assess context, rigor, and impact

    • Knows how to translate a student’s experiences into a compelling narrative

    Mason works closely with students to help them think strategically, make smart decisions, and avoid the common mistakes that derail strong applicants.

    • Aligning academics and extracurriculars with intended majors

    • Preparing for senior year workload and deadlines

    Sessions are live via Zoom, with recordings provided for students who need flexibility. Each week builds on the last, creating momentum and accountability.

    Students also gain complimentary access to the Senior Year Strategy Academy as part of the program.

  • Students enrolled in the 8-Week Admissions Accelerator receive complimentary access to the Senior Year Strategy Academy, a structured support system designed to keep students on track throughout the rest of application season.

    The Senior Year Strategy Academy provides ongoing twice-monthly strategy check-ins, timely guidance tied to admissions deadlines, and accountability to help students manage essays, applications, interviews, and decisions without falling behind. This ensures that students don’t lose momentum after the Accelerator ends and continue executing their plan with clarity, confidence, and expert oversight through senior year.

  • The 8-Week Admissions Accelerator Program is much more comprehensive. It includes the curriculum for the 4-Week Essay Bootcamp, but also focuses on school list curation, testing strategy, letters of recommendation support, activity list development, financial aid guidance, additional information strategy, and more.

  • While the program is cohort-based, personalization is built into the process.

    Students receive:

    • Individualized feedback on essays, school list, and application strategy from the program instruction

    • Opportunities for 1:1 time for direct questions face to face with the instructor

    • Structured prompts to apply strategy to their own profile

    Students may also register for additional 1:1 Strategy Meetings to dive deeper into their individual application strategy, refine essays, or troubleshoot specific challenges if necessary.

  • The 8-Week Admissions Accelerator is a core program within Icon Admissions with success. Students have been admitted to university systems such as the Ivy League, UC system, private universities, and Liberal Arts Colleges.

    It is fast paced and students should enroll with the expectation that this is paced like an AP course for the duration of the program.
